Course overview

The Master of Clinical Psychology is designed for graduates seeking to become clinical psychologists through accredited postgraduate training. You'll develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in psychological assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evidence-based intervention while strengthening your clinical reasoning through a scientist-practitioner approach. Practical learning includes supervised clinical experience in CQUniversity's Wellness Centre, followed by external placements across a range of public, private and community health settings. You'll also complete a clinical psychology research project to further develop your research capabilities and evidence-based practice.

On successful completion, you'll be eligible to apply for general registration as a psychologist and enrolment in the relevant registrar program for endorsement as a clinical psychologist, subject to the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia. Graduates may also apply for membership of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

  • Reviewed and adjusted each year.

HECS-HELP loans are available to CSP students to pay the student contribution amount.

FEE-HELP loans are available to assist eligible full-fee-paying domestic students with the cost of a university course.
