Course overview
The Emerging Leaders Colloquium is a five-day program for emerging executive leaders committed to leading authentically as they progress in their careers. It addresses common challenges including managing up, down and across and the pressures of advancing into a leadership role.
Using the Cranlana Model of peer-based learning and shared enquiry, participants reflect on and challenge one another and themselves in a trusted, generative learning space. Themes include values and purpose, fairness in work and society, moral agency and courage, ethical and critical thinking frameworks, contemporary and future challenges and the meaning of leadership. Activities include guided readings, digital materials, case studies, thought experiments, role plays and guest presenters with relevant lived experience.
The program is designed to support a re-evaluation of leadership practice within an ethical context, engagement with the purpose and nature of leadership in contemporary Australia and greater consciousness of the ethical dimensions and impact of decisions. Participants take away frameworks for decision-making and action in the face of ethical complexity, as well as tools to normalise ethical issues and role-model an integrity culture.
