What you will study
To graduate with a Master of Applied Finance, a student must acquire 120 credit points from the course units below. Each unit is valued at 10 credit points.

Academic requirements
Depending on your prior qualifications, work experience or other recognised prior learning, you can complete your degree in less time. Applicants can qualify for entry to this degree by fulfilling the admission points below:
1.5-year program - Foundation zone, Core zone (120 credit points).
- An AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent and two years of relevant approved work experience.
1-year program - Core zone (80 credit points).
- Two years of relevant approved work experience and an AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or an AQF level 8 bachelor's honours or graduate diploma qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent.
English language requirements.
When applying to study at Macquarie University, you’re required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.
The required standard of English for this degree is outlined as follows: IELTS - Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.0, Reading 6.0, Listening 6.0, and an overall score of 6.5.
