What you will study
To earn the Master of Business Administration (Part-time), students must complete 17.5 subjects or 218.75 credit points. Unless otherwise indicated, each subject is worth 12.5 credit points.

Entry requirements
To be considered for entry into this course, you must have one of the following:
- An undergraduate degree and at least two (2) years of documented full-time professional work experience.
- A minimum of six (6) years of documented full-time professional experience.
You must submit:
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV).
- Four personal statements relating to your goals and how you can contribute to the program.
- Evidence of all qualifications completed and incomplete, including academic transcripts with grading schema.
- A valid passport or verified document showing current citizenship/residency status.
- The names and contact details of two professional referees.
English language requirements
All applicants to the University of Melbourne must satisfy the English language requirements. This may be achieved in a number of ways, including a recognised previous study taught and assessed entirely in English or an approved English language test. If you need to undertake an English language test, you must meet one of the scores below:
- IELTS: Academic English test with a minimum score of 7.0 overall and with no individual band score less than 6.5.
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 102 (written score minimum 24 and no individual score lower than 21).
- Pearson: 72 + written communicative skill of 65 and no other communicative skill below 64.
- Cambridge: N/A
Accepted tests: IELTS (Academic English Only); TOEFL Internet-based test; Pearson Test of English Academic; Cambridge English: Advanced/Certificate of Advanced English (CAE). If a test displays N/A, it means it is not accepted for this course.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Credit (recognition of prior learning) may be considered based on your professional qualification(s) or prior study of relevant subject(s) at a recognised academic institution. You can apply for credits for core subjects from these programs: Part-time MBA and Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (both face-to-face and online), Master of Marketing and Graduate Diploma in Marketing. The eligible core subjects are:

- Data Analysis / Data Analytics for Decision Making
- Finance
- Financial Accounting

- Managerial Economics

- Operations
No other subjects are eligible for credit. Time limitations as well as a credit cap will apply according to the school's policy.

Fees and FEE-HELP
Indicative program fee per subject in 2025: $5,148 (domestic full-fee paying place)
Estimated total program fee in 2025: $90,090 (domestic full-fee paying place)
Fees are paid per subject, per term in advance. Fees are subject to annual review and may increase annually. The School guarantees that fees will not increase by more than 10 per cent from year to year.
A student’s fee may vary depending on:
- The number of subjects studied per term.
- The choice of major or specialisation.
- Choice of subjects.
- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
FEE-HELP loans are available to assist eligible full-fee paying domestic students.
