Entry requirements
Admissions criteria
In order to be considered for entry, applicants must have completed one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a similar discipline.
- A bachelor's honours degree in any discipline.
- A three-year bachelor's degree and at least 0.5 years of graduate study in any discipline.
- A bachelor's degree in a different discipline and at least two years of documented, relevant work experience.
- A minimum of six years of documented, relevant work experience.
Meeting the published entry requirements for this course does not guarantee selection.
When assessing applications, the Selection Committee will consider your previous studies and academic performance.
English language requirements
All applicants to the University of Melbourne must satisfy the English language requirements. This may be achieved in a number of ways, including a recognised previous study taught and assessed entirely in English or an approved English language test.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Prior studies may be credited towards your degree and potentially reduce the duration of your course. This is known as Advanced Standing (also known as credit or recognition of prior learning).
Suppose you have an undergraduate degree in business/commerce or a related discipline, or an undergraduate degree in any discipline with appropriate business breadth study or a business minor. In that case, you may be awarded up to 50 points of Advanced Standing.
There is a pre-approved Advanced Standing arrangement for students who complete the Graduate Certificate of Business prior to commencing this Master's. To receive maximum Advanced Standing (credit) to enter the 150-point program, you must undertake the following subjects within the Graduate Certificate of Business:

- Value Creation Strategies
