Course overview
There are endless pathways your career can take once you finish your studies and head out into the workforce. While the industries and opportunities are far-reaching, they often share a common thread – some form of business practice usually shapes them. From marketing and management to supply chains and sustainability, business influences how we work and live in numerous ways.
This makes the Graduate Certificate of Business an effective way to advance your career further. Whether you’re already in the world of business and want to sharpen your specialist skill set, or are looking to apply more business insights into your career, you’ll gain a more in-depth perspective in as little as six months.
Flexibility is a key factor of the Graduate Certificate of Business. You’ll build a program of study made up of units offered by Monash Business School – choosing from a curated selection of units aligned to contemporary business themes like leadership and sustainability, or selecting the subject areas that interest you most. Along the way, you’ll be learning from industry experts and gaining practical, applied skills to put to work in your own career.
You can also choose to study full-time and complete the Graduate Certificate of Business in just 6 months. If you need to balance your ongoing work with study, several units are available outside business hours or in block mode to suit your schedule. Studying the course part-time can be completed in just one year.
The units you’ll complete in the Graduate Certificate of Business are all studied at a master’s level. This makes it easier for you to progress to a complete master’s degree if you continue your studies further. A range of units offered by the Centre for Health Economics is also available if you’re interested in shaping a career in the health sector.
Regardless of how you choose to complete the program, you’ll continue to elevate your skills and understanding of key areas of contemporary business, which can open doors to exciting career opportunities.
