Course Overview

What you will study

To qualify for the award of Master of Project Management, students must complete the following courses listed.

  • The dynamic context of project delivery (6credit points)
  • The planning approach to project management (6credit points)
  • The learning approach to project management (6 credit points)
  • The rise of project-based organisations (6 credit points)
  • The project as a social system (6 credit points)
  • Project management for organisational innovation (6 credit points)
  • Managing project knowledge (6 credit points)

Entry Requirements

  • An Australian bachelor’s degree in a cognate discipline* or an equivalent qualification, with at least a credit (60%) average or an equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).
  • Or an Australian bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification, with at least a credit (60%) or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) plus two years relevant work experience**.

English requirements

For entry to Monash University, you must meet the minimum English language requirements. You can do this by completing one of the qualifications listed.

You need satisfactory completion of one of the following:

  • the equivalent of an Australian VET Certificate IV course (AQF Level 4), or higher, that has been approved by the faculty as requiring sufficient English skills
  • study in an English medium educational institution equivalent to at least 24 Monash credit points (one semester of full-time study) at Australian VET diploma level (AQF Level 5) or higher
  • at least two units of higher education study (to a minimum 12 points), of which at least one is an English-rich unit, taken as part of an award or non-award course
  • an Australian masters by research or doctoral degree, or equivalent, from an English medium institution.

The University does not accept competency-based qualifications as meeting English language requirements.
