What you will study
To graduate from the Executive Master of Business Administration course, you must successfully complete 144 credit points.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for admission to the course, you must have the following requirements:
- A recognised bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.50 (on QUT's 7-point scale).
- A minimum of five years of full-time post degree work experience with minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience and two years minimum of supervisory/management experience.
You must also submit responses to the following mandatory reflective questions:
- Motivation to complete the QUT MBA.
- Intended contribution to the cohort.
- Work/life/study balance strategy.
- Current leadership philosophy.
Work experience
Relevant work experience indicates an applicant's capacity to contribute to workshop discussion and the wider student body. To enable the university to assess your work experience, a current curriculum vitae providing details of your roles, responsibilities and achievements is required.
Additional entry requirements
You may be required to attend an interview with the MBA Director or nominee.
Recognition of Prior Learning
You may be able to have your past studies or work experience count as credit towards your QUT course. QUT call this 'advanced standing'. That means you might not have to complete all the units in your course structure. You may be able to graduate sooner. Exemptions are assessed individually – talk to QUT's Course Consultant for more information.

Fees and FEE-HELP
Estimated first-year tuition fee in 2026: $32,000 (domestic full-fee paying place).
All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a study load of 96 credit points (normally eight units) per year.
A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:
- The number of units studied per term.
- The choice of major or specialisation.
- Choice of units.
- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
You may also need to pay the student services and amenities fee.
