  • Course Type: Graduate Certificate

Gain an understanding of senior human resource management to inspire and positively influence the lives of those around you.

Course overview

Aspiring leaders in human resource management must understand the factors that influence thoughts, emotions, motivations and behaviours in the workplace, particularly during periods of change. This program is designed to develop the capabilities required to manage change effectively. It covers key areas such as self-awareness and interpersonal understanding, organisational contexts and cultural perspectives, and the ethical leadership of change in times of disruption.

The program also examines the approaches and technologies organisations use to investigate business challenges and generate insights that inform effective business strategy. Through the practical application of core theories and business research tools, participants develop skills in collecting and analysing data related to the external business environment and internal organisational processes. These insights support value creation through innovation, product development and process improvement.

In addition, the program explores the complexities of employment relations, addressing both the theoretical and practical dimensions of the relationship between employers and employees. It analyses labour–management relations, including industrial relations institutions and labour markets, alongside legislative, economic, political, social and cultural perspectives on work and work organisations. Emphasis is also placed on socially responsible approaches to employment relations, work design and the inequalities embedded within contemporary organisational structures.
