What you will study

The MBA program is made up of four components that build on each other to provide you with an integrated and multi-disciplinary curriculum to equip you to take on the challenges and opportunities of a complex business environment.

Each MBA unit of six credit points is delivered in a seven-week module (six weeks teaching with final assessment in week seven).

Entry requirements

You must either have a:

  • Recognised bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.50 (on QUT's 7-point scale) and a minimum of three years of full-time post-degree work experience with a minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience and one year of minimum supervisory/management experience. 
  • Recognised postgraduate degree in any field with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 5.50 (on QUT's 7-point scale) and a minimum of three years of full-time post-degree work experience, with a minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience and one year of minimum supervisory/management experience.

Additional entry requirements

You must submit responses to the following mandatory reflective questions:

  • Motivation to complete the QUT MBA.
  • Intended contribution to the cohort.
  • Work/life/study balance strategy.
  • Current leadership philosophy.

You may also be required to attend an interview with the MBA Director or nominee.

Recognition of Prior Learning

You may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with at least seven years of work experience, including six years of relevant professional work experience and one year of supervisory/management experience. Upon completing the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with a GPA of 4.50 (or higher), students can articulate into the Master of Business Administration.

Indicative fee in 2025: $3,186 per unit for six credit points (domestic full-fee paying place)

Estimated fee in 2025: $50,976 per year full-time for 96 credit points (domestic full-fee paying place)

Your actual fees may vary depending on which units you choose. QUT reviews fees annually and they may be subject to increases.

You may need to pay student services and amenities (SA) fees as part of your course costs.
