Course overview
Agile is a highly effective framework transforming the way organisations operate and deliver value to customers. This course explores the techniques required to run successful Agile projects and supports students in applying Agile working practices in real-world settings.
Students will learn techniques to manage Agile projects and teams, oversee sprints, stand-ups and Scrums, and foster continuous improvement through effective project retrospectives. The course also introduces lean thinking principles to improve project performance. Students will identify key differences between traditional and Agile business approaches, and learn how to design and implement relevant visual management techniques.
This course has been developed with leading industry partners REA Group and Slack, ensuring the curriculum reflects industry best practice and aligns with in-demand professional skills.

As part of this course, you will explore the strategic mindset and principles of Agile to produce one final project. You will present your findings, plan and develop recommendations for closing the gaps between your organisation's current and desired Agile fluency.
What you will learn
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
- Assess the gaps between your current Agile ability and your desired ability and predict what would be required to progress the organisation to your desired level of Agile fluency.
- Design and run an experiment to implement an Agile working practice in your team.
- Evaluate metrics to assess the success of planned Agile experiments, assess their effect and interpret the results of the metrics.
- Appraise the change impacts that will require management using the Heart of Agile framework.
