Course Overview
The Master of Business Administration (International) at UNE is designed for postgraduate students from within or outside the business discipline who wish to specialise in international trade and global business.
The course will extend your experience and empower you to develop the advanced skills and knowledge you need to confidently lead organisations in a complex, globalised economy. By completing the MBA (International), you will add to your existing expertise in areas such as decision making, ethics, and management, allowing you to become a more effective leader in any global setting.

What you will study
To complete the MBA (International), you must fulfil 96 credit points (CP) with at least 36 CP at 500-level. Each unit is valued at six CP.
This course offers six different structures depending on the admission rule you fall under.

Entry requirements
Academic requirements
This course is offered under six admission rules.
Rule A: You have completed ONE of the following qualifications (or their overseas equivalents) in any discipline:
- Bachelor's (AQF Level 7)
- Bachelor honours (AQF Level 8)
- Graduate certificate (AQF Level 8)
- Graduate diploma (AQF Level 8)
- Master's (AQF Level 9)
- Doctorate (AQF Level 10)
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule A.
Rule B: You have completed a bachelor's qualification (AQF Level 7 or overseas equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule B.
Rule C: You have completed a graduate certificate (AQF Level 8 or overseas equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule C.
Rule D: You have completed a bachelor's qualification (AQF Level 7 or overseas equivalent) in any discipline and will be studying on a full-time basis at the UNE Sydney campus.
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule D.
Rule E: You have completed one of the following qualifications (or their overseas equivalents) in a relevant discipline:
- Graduate diploma (AQF Level 8)
- Master's (AQF Level 9)
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule E.
Rule F: You have completed a Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness (equivalent to AQF Level 8) at the Ironwood Institute.
If you are admitted on this basis, you will be eligible for admission under Rule F.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Advanced Standing is credit or recognition of your previous study, work and/or life experience. This can reduce the cost and length of your studies.
Course Entry Advanced Standing
Some entry rules come with Advanced Standing or Articulation Programs that are assessed automatically without the need for you to fill in an additional application.
- If you are admitted under Rule B, you will be granted 24 CP of Block Advanced Standing.
- If you are admitted under Rule C, you will be granted 24 CP of Specified or Unspecified Advanced Standing.
- If you are admitted under Rules E or F, you will be granted 48 CP of Block Advanced Standing. You cannot apply for further Advanced Standing.
Individual Unit Advanced Standing
If you are admitted into this course and believe you have already completed the equivalent of one or more of the units in your Course Structure (Program of Study) within the last 10 years, you can apply for Individual Unit Advanced Standing.
- If you are admitted under Rules A or D, you can apply for up to 48 CP of Advanced Standing.
- If you are admitted under Rules B or C, you can apply for up to a further 24 CP of Advanced Standing.

Fees and FEE-HELP
Estimated first-year tuition fee in 2025: $31,056 (domestic full-fee paying place)
The costs will depend on the units you choose to study as the cost of individual units vary. “Estimated fees” are provided as a guide only based on a typical enrolment of students undertaking a study load of 48 CP in the first year of this course. For courses that require less than 48 CP, the fees indicated are based on the total credit points required for completion of that course.

- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
