What you will study

To earn the AGSM Master of Business Administration (General), students must complete 72 units of credit or 12 courses. Each course is worth six units of credit.

Core

Compulsory courses

Complete the following two courses for 12 units of credit:

  • Accounting and Financial Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Data Analytics and Decision-making

Entry requirements

You will need to have one of the following:

  • A recognised undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) and a minimum of two years of professional or managerial work experience.
  • At least six years of professional work experience.

Please note that two years’ post-graduate experience is an absolute minimum requirement for entry. Most of our MBAX students have on average about 11 years of work experience. You will need to demonstrate outstanding work and study progression to gain admittance into this program with less than three to four years of post-graduate work experience.

English language requirements

If English isn’t your first language, you may be required to provide evidence that your English language ability meets the university's requirements. Contact the university for further information. If you do need to provide evidence of your English proficiency, this will be indicated in your application.

You can prove this by providing evidence that you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • English language tests and university English courses.
  • Prior study in the medium of English.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you have completed a study prior to enrolling at UNSW, you may be eligible for a credit transfer. If approved, you can earn credit towards your current degree and shorten the length of your studies.

Indicative first-year full fee in 2025: $45,000 (domestic full-fee paying place)

Indicative full fee to complete the degree in 2025: $68,500 (domestic full-fee paying place)

The amount you pay will vary depending on the calendar year of enrolment, the courses you select and whether your study load is more or less than one equivalent full-time student load (48 units of credit per year).
