The Graduate Diploma in Business Administration is designed as a pathway into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a standalone qualification for experienced professionals with ambition and drive who wish to develop their responsible and sustainable leadership skills.

In addition to the first phase of the MBA structure where you will learn to diagnose issues in real organisations, you will also start to explore the latest thinking and practices from leading organisations and research worldwide, evaluating emerging options in today’s business environment.

What you will study

The Graduate Diploma in Business Administration requires the successful completion of 48 credit points of subjects as specified below. Each subject is valued at six credit points.

Entry requirements

Academic requirements

To be considered for the course, students must have one of the following:

  • A recognised bachelor's degree or a tertiary academic qualification with duration of at least three years’ full-time equivalent.
  • A UOW Graduate Certificate in Business Administration.

PLUS

  • A minimum of three years' relevant full-time professional or managerial experience, with a one-page Statement of Motivation*.

*The Statement of Motivation should be no more than one page, written in English, and should address your motivation for studying MBA with the Sydney Business School, and how the degree will help achieve your career goals and aspiration.

UOW Subsidised Fees (USF)

Total indicative course tuition fee in 2026: $21,414

To make postgraduate study more affordable, where a Commonwealth-supported place is not available, UOW is offering eligible domestic students who start their studies in 2026 a subsidised fee reduction designed to support them in upskilling and progressing their careers.

A student’s fee may vary depending on:
