Extend your leadership and strategic decision-making capabilities through advanced business study, specialised expertise and an industry consultancy project focused on solving a real organisational challenge.
Course overview
Curtin University’s Master of Business Administration (Advanced) is an extended version of its MBA, designed primarily for experienced middle and senior managers seeking to progress their leadership and management capabilities. It combines contemporary business theory with local and international perspectives relevant to complex and changing organisational environments.
You will examine economics, finance, organisational behaviour, marketing, strategy, operations and global business sustainability. The course strengthens your ability to evaluate uncertain business environments, make evidence-informed decisions and develop responsible strategies that create value for different stakeholders.
You can tailor your studies through a specialisation in Business Administration, Digital Finance, Energy Transition or Leadership. The defining applied component is an industry consultancy project in which you work with an industry partner to apply business concepts and techniques to a real organisational challenge. The MBA and MBA Advanced programme set holds EFMD Programme Accreditation.
Delivered primarily on campus at Curtin’s Perth City location, the course can be completed in two years of full-time study or an equivalent part-time period. You will build advanced strategic, analytical, communication and leadership capabilities that can support progression across management, consulting and executive business environments.
