Course overview

Deakin University’s Graduate Certificate of Digital Finance examines how emerging technologies are changing financial markets, services and business models. It is designed for professionals seeking to understand the intersection of finance, financial technology and digital transformation.

You will explore financial markets and digital innovation, FinTech foundations, cryptocurrencies and the strategic use of artificial intelligence in organisations. The course develops your ability to evaluate financial data, communicate complex information and use digital technologies to support financial and business decisions.

An elective enables you to focus on financial data analytics, digital transformation, its ethical implications or foundational finance principles. Students without previous finance experience are encouraged to select Principles of Finance during their first trimester.

The course can be completed online in six months of full-time study or the part-time equivalent, depending on your commencement trimester. Graduates may explore opportunities in FinTech product management, risk analysis, digital finance consulting and investment operations. The qualification may also provide a pathway into eligible Deakin Business School master’s degrees.
