Strengthen your ability to analyse financial markets, manage risk and use data to support informed decisions in an evolving global finance environment.
Course overview
Financial professionals need more than technical knowledge. They must be able to make sense of complex information, recognise the implications of market developments and turn financial analysis into recommendations that others can understand. Deakin University’s Graduate Diploma of Finance is designed to strengthen these capabilities.
You will learn to evaluate financial opportunities and risks, work confidently with complex data and consider how international, regulatory and technological developments influence financial decisions. By connecting financial theory with contemporary business scenarios, the course helps you develop a more informed and analytical approach to solving finance-related problems.
The flexible structure allows you to shape part of your studies around the expertise most relevant to your goals. Depending on your unit choices, you can deepen your understanding of investment decisions, financial risk, corporate funding or innovations changing the financial services sector.
Completed in one year full-time or part-time equivalent, the course can help you move into financial services or contribute at a higher level in an existing finance-related role. It also provides a pathway to Deakin’s Master of Finance.
