Combine psychological knowledge with business practice to understand workplace behaviour, support employee wellbeing and inform people, performance and organisational change decisions.
Course overview
ECU’s Master of Business Psychology is designed for professionals seeking to understand human behaviour and apply psychological perspectives within contemporary organisations. Bringing together business and psychology, the course examines how people, workplace culture and organisational practices can influence wellbeing and performance.
Learning explores the factors that motivate individuals and groups, alongside psychological frameworks for understanding social behaviour, cognitive processes and wellbeing. These perspectives are connected with workplace practices such as employee performance, people analytics and organisational change, strengthening the ability to assess complex people-related challenges and make informed decisions.
Students can extend their learning through areas such as talent management, inclusion, leadership, project management, organisational decision-making and marketing. This allows the course to support different professional interests while maintaining its central focus on applying psychology in business and workplace settings.
Delivered entirely online through ECU’s accelerated part-time model, the course can be completed in a minimum of 20 months. ECU’s business disciplines are accredited by AACSB International, while its Strategic Research Centre for Work + Wellbeing supports research into healthy work and organisational wellbeing. Career directions may span human resources, organisational development, employee experience, change, strategy and coaching, depending on previous experience.
