Part A. Core Unit

Part B. Specialist units
You must complete three of the following units:
- Machine Learning
- Discrete Optimisation
- Natural Language Processing
- Intelligent Image and Video Analysis
Entry requirements
An Australian bachelor's degree (or equivalent), with at least a credit (60%) average in a discipline relating to one IT, business (with mathematics), Engineering or Science degree with completed studies in mathematics (including principles and skills in probability, linear algebra and calculus) and Python programming.

Fees and FEE-HELP
Indicative 2026 first-year fee: $21,000 (domestic full-fee paying place).
All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a study load of 24 credit points (normally four units) per semester or 48 credit points (normally eight units) per year.
A student’s annual fee may vary in accordance with:

- The choice of major or specialisation.
- Choice of units.
- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
