Course overview
QUT’s outstanding research credibility in BPM continually influences the design of the BPM programs. The core content of this course rests on solid foundations in the BPM discipline, while being informed by the latest research and technological advances from QUT’s BPM discipline and partner universities, as well as the latest industry developments and trends, acquired through the teaching staff's international industry network.
You will develop the necessary skills, knowledge and values to manage business activities through innovative, evidence-based business process management practices, thereby enhancing your organisation's business practices.
The electives of the Graduate Certificate in BPM expand upon the two discipline areas of operational BPM and enterprise BPM, allowing you to apply your learning via a dedicated workplace-based project.

This program has a limited quota of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP). The indicative CSP price is calculated based on first year fees for EFT. The actual fee may vary if there are choices in electives or majors.

What will you study
To be eligible for the Graduate Certificate in Business Process Management:
- Students are required to complete 48 credit points of units.
- Students must complete two core BPM units (24 credit points).
- Students must take two units (24 credit points) of electives from the list of approved elective units provided.

Entry requirements
You must have one of the following:
- A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in information technology or business.
- A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in any other discipline followed by at least three years of full-time (or equivalent) professional experience in information technology or business.
- A recognised diploma (or higher qualification) in information technology or business followed by at least two years of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in information technology or business.
- At least five years of full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in information technology or business.

Fees and CSP
Indicative fee per 48-credit-point course in 2026: $4,900 (Commonwealth Supported Place)

You may need to pay student services and amenities (SA) fees as part of your course costs.
Commonwealth Supported Places
The Australian Government allocates a certain number of CSPs to the universities each year, which are then distributed to students based on merit.
If you're a Commonwealth Supported Student (CSS), you'll only need to pay a portion of your tuition fees. This is known as the student contribution amount – the balance once the government subsidy is applied. This means your costs are much lower.
Limited CSP spaces are offered to students enrolled in selected postgraduate courses.
Your student contribution amount is:

- Dependent on the study areas they relate to.
- Reviewed and adjusted each year.
HECS-HELP loans are available to CSP students to pay the student contribution amount.
