Course overview
QUT is committed to equipping graduates with a solid foundation in project management theory and skills that translate across industries. Our courses are centred around developing an understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and providing future project managers with the fundamentals needed to achieve organisational excellence. What will you study
Students must complete a total of four core standard units. Each unit carries 12 credit points.

Entry requirements
You can gain entry into the Graduate Certificate in Project Management with one of the following:
Six-month program
- A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline.
- A recognised Diploma (or higher qualification) in any discipline, with at least two years full-time (or equivalent) relevant professional work experience.
- At least five years full-time (or equivalent) relevant professional work experience.
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you hold a Graduate Certificate in Project Management or possess equivalent work experience, you may be eligible to enrol in the Master’s program with recognition of prior learning (RPL), enabling you to complete the degree in 1 year instead of 1.5 years.

Upon completion of the Graduate Certificate in Project Management, graduates will possess a general overview of project management best practices, as well as practical skills they can apply in their current and future roles across a range of industries.

Indicative per year full-time fee in 2026: $14,300 (domestic full-fee paying place)
All costs are calculated using current rates and are based on a study load of 48 credit points (normally four units) per year.

- Credit from previous study or work experience.
- Eligibility for government-funded loans.
