What you will study

Students must complete the eight units (four courses) comprising:

  • Four to six units from GCBus Foundational Courses
  • Two units for all GCBus Core Courses
  • Zero to two units from GCBus Program Elective Courses

Each course is valued at two units.

Foundational and Core Courses

GCBus Foundational Courses

Complete four to six units from the following:

  • Financial Management for Decision Makers
  • Tools and Techniques for Business Analysis
  • Business and Society

GCBus Core Courses

Complete two units for all of the following:

  • Management Communication
Elective Courses

Entry requirements

Academic requirements

To be eligible for the program, you'll need one of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline.
  • Completed post-secondary studies, plus five years of full-time equivalent work experience.
  • Seven years of full-time equivalent work experience.

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification.

Applications on the basis of post-secondary study and/or work experience will be individually assessed.

English language requirements

For international students, you must demonstrate that you meet one of the following English proficiency requirements:

  • IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ.
  • TOEFL iBT (including Paper Edition) - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
  • PTE Academic - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands.
  • BE - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills.
  • CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands.

OET is not accepted.
