What you will study

To earn the Master of Business Administration, students must complete 24 units comprising:

  • 10 units for all MBA core courses
  • Two to six units for MBA flexible core courses
  • Eight to 12 units from MBA program elective courses

Each course is valued at two units, unless otherwise indicated.

MBA core courses

Complete 10 units for all of the following:

  • Accounting and Business Analysis
  • Financial Management
  • Strategy: From Design to Practice
  • Leading People and Teams
  • Resonant Leadership
MBA flexible core courses
MBA program elective courses

Entry requirements

To be eligible for entry, you'll need

  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, plus four years full-time equivalent, relevant work experience (see below), or
  • The Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from UQ.

You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 on a 7.0 point scale in your previous qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you already have industry experience and the required skills and knowledge, you can be assessed through the Recognition of Prior Learning process.

You must be able to validate your ability to meet all industry benchmarks as required for each relevant unit.
