Designed for professionals seeking to formalise their experience or graduates from non-accounting disciplines, the course develops foundational knowledge across accounting, finance, economics and business law, providing a pathway towards further postgraduate study in professional accounting.
You'll explore how financial information supports managerial decisions, examining the principles of financial management and their application to business activities. Study of economics and contemporary business law broadens your understanding of the economic conditions and legal frameworks that influence organisational decisions. Together, these areas develop your ability to interpret business information, consider financial implications and approach management challenges from different perspectives.
The course comprises four compulsory subjects totalling 24 credit points, integrating accounting concepts with broader business knowledge. Delivered at UTS's City campus, it can be completed in six months full time or one year part time.
