Course overview

The University of Technology Sydney's Graduate Certificate in Strategic Supply Chain Management introduces the principles of business operations and supply chain management. Designed for professionals seeking to develop their understanding of how organisations manage resources and coordinate activities, the course explores the relationships between operational performance, supply chain decisions and organisational objectives.

You'll examine how supply chains operate within and across organisations, considering the strategies used to manage resources, improve quality and respond to operational challenges. Study of supply chain risk management develops your understanding of uncertainty and disruption, while business and social impact explores the broader responsibilities of organisations. Together, these areas build your ability to evaluate operational decisions and consider their implications for businesses and stakeholders.

The course comprises four compulsory subjects totalling 24 credit points, combining supply chain strategy with operations, risk management and responsible business practices. Delivered at UTS's City campus, it is completed over one year of part-time study. The qualification may support professional development in operations, logistics, procurement and supply chain management, while providing an articulated pathway towards further postgraduate study in strategic supply chain management, subject to the relevant admission requirements.
