Course overview
The Graduate Certificate of Business is designed for graduates of non-business disciplines and also for experienced professionals who did not undertake an undergraduate degree. Candidates are typically already working in business, but have not been exposed to formal learning in business disciplines such as economics, marketing, organisational behaviour and accounting.
The course is suitable for those with a non-business background including technical disciplines such as science, health and engineering who wish to move into business decision-making non-technical and general management roles.

Academic requirements
To be considered for admission to this course, an applicant must have one of the following:
- A bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA, the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent and at least two years of professional experience in a relevant occupation.
- Significant work experience including at least five years with a material level of responsibility.
English language requirements
English is the language of instruction and assessment at UWA and you will need to meet the English language requirements of the university to be eligible for a place.
- Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
