Course Overview
The Master of Accounting in Forensic Analysis is ideal for any fresh graduate interested in pursuing a career in the dynamic and growing field of forensic accounting and fraud examination. The course is suitable for people who are currently accountants and auditors and wish to pursue or a career in forensic accounting. This programme integrates the accounting, auditing and investigative skills used to yield analysis and results suitable for use by the courts as the basis for resolution.
APU-DMU Dual Degree Programme
Students under this programme will have the option to opt-in for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will receive two Degree Certificates and Transcripts upon graduation: one from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia and one from De Montfort University (DMU), UK.
This programme is specifically designed to provide:

Course Structure
This programme comprises 13 coursework modules (including Research Methodology module) and a project. The modules of this programme will provide the knowledge and analytical skills to identify and apply the law, the rules of procedure and evidence, and ethics that relate to forensic accounting.

Entry Requirements
Academic Qualification
To meet the entry requirements for the course you need to fulfil one the requirements below:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00, or its equivalent qualification as acceptable by the Senate.
- Bachelor’s degree with CGPA below 2.50 out of 4.00, or its equivalent qualification can be accepted with minimum 5 years relevant working experience in related field.
- Relevant professional accounting qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree as accepted by the Senate.

English Language Requirement
- IELTS : 5.5
Students from English speaking countries and those with qualifications taught in English (previous Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree taught in English) are exempted from English requirements. Applications for exemption must be accompanied by supporting documents.
