Did you know that MAHSA stands for “Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy”? Founded in 2004, MAHSA University started as a reputable higher education institution for medical and healthcare studies.

Enrolment guide

Enrol hassle-free via MAHSA University’s online platform.

  1. Click the Online Application tab on the university website’s navigation bar.
  2. An online application form will appear. Fill in your details, academic background, chosen programme, mode of study, campus and intake date.
  3. Submit soft copies of your passport-size photo, identity card/passport and academic transcripts.
  4. Once you have submitted your application, you can keep track of your application status by returning to the webpage.
  5. The university will contact you at a later date to finalise payment arrangements for your admission and study fees.

Alternatively, you can visit one of MAHSA University’s campuses and enrol in person.

MAHSA scholarships and financial aid

There are several finance options available to help cover your education costs:

  • Apply for MAHSA scholarships
  • Get a low-interest loan from the Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN)
  • Withdraw funds from your Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Account 2

Blue Ribbon Scholarship

The scholarship is available to MAHSA University students who have excellent academic results in their respective courses. Successful applicants will receive a full tuition fee waiver for their current course.

Applicants have to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be a full-time student enrolled in a MAHSA University course
  • Show exemplary behaviour and follow the university's rules and guidelines
  • Submit documents that show they are in need of financial assistance if required

You must also achieve the following academic results to qualify for the scholarship:

Recipients are required to maintain at least a CGPA of 3.0 to retain their scholarship.

Haji Abdullah's Elite Scholars programme

This scholarship is awarded to underprivileged students who excel in their studies and are actively involved in university extra-curricular activities. Chosen candidates will get a 30 per cent tuition fee waiver for their current programme.

Applicants need to meet the following criteria:

  • Receive an invitation from their faculty dean to apply for the programme
  • Maintain at least a CGPA of 3.5 in their programme
  • Take an active role in extra-curricular activities and exhibit leadership qualities
  • Present proof that they require financial aid to fund their studies

Graduate Excellence Initiative (GREI) Fund

This fund provides work placement and financial support for well-performing master’s degree and PhD candidates. Postgraduate students will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at one of the university’s research centres or industry partners. 

Successful applicants will receive the following benefits:

  • A job placement at a distinguished organisation
  • A 30 per cent tuition fee waiver
  • Access to experienced mentors for the rest of their postgraduate studies
  • Invitations to workshops and seminars

Athletic Excellence Award (AEA)

Exceptional Malaysian national, state and inter-university athletes keen on studying at MAHSA University have a chance to win this award. Selected candidates will receive the following amount of tuition fee waivers:

  • 50 per cent for national athletes
  • 30 per cent for state athletes
  • 10 per cent for inter-university athletes

Successful applicants will also gain the following benefits:

  • Access to training gear, equipment and facilities
  • Financial support to cover the cost of travel, accommodation and other expenses when athletes compete in sporting events
  • Access to coaches and mentors

Community Impact Scholarships 

This programme comprises scholarships for three groups of applicants. Recipients will gain a tuition fee waiver for their studies in any MAHSA University programme.

  • School teachers: MAHSA University students with a parent or spouse who is presently a school teacher in Malaysia can apply for this scholarship. Selected applicants will receive a RM4,000 tuition fee waiver.
  • Family: To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a parent, child or sibling of a current student or graduate of MAHSA University. Recipients will gain a tuition fee waiver worth RM4,000.
  • Single parents: Malaysian students with single parents are eligible for this scholarship. Successful applicants will get a RM4,000 waiver on their tuition fees.

Community Impact Scholarship applicants must achieve at least five credits in SPM or at least a CPGA of 3.0 in their MAHSA University course.

Diversity Scholarship

This scholarship is available for students in the following groups:

  • Members of ethnic minority groups such as the Orang Asli 
  • Women who are studying in courses related to STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • The first person in their family to attend university (first-generation university students)
  • Military veterans and their dependents

Successful applicants may receive a full tuition fee waiver for their MAHSA University course. Recipients must maintain at least a CGPA of 3.0 throughout their studies to retain their scholarship.

Staff Enhancement and Educational Development (SEED) Fund

MAHSA University staff members are welcome to apply for financial support from the SEED Fund.  

The fund helps eligible MAHSA University staff members to finance their studies. Selected candidates will attain tuition fee waivers or grants for their university courses.
