Course Overview

The Master of Project Management programme by is designed to produce professional and dedicated Project Managers to lead in the development and maintenance of projects based on International Standards.

GAC-PMI (Global Accreditation Centre – PMI)

APU Master of Project Management is accredited by GAC-PMI. APU is one of 17 institutions in Asia with GAC-PMI Accreditation at Masters Level.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI Accreditation)

Students have the opportunity to enrol in the APU-CMI Dual Accreditation. Students in the Master of Project Management course can also opt-in for a CMI L7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, which will be awarded subject to moderation by CMI.

This programme is specifically designed to:

Course Structure

The programme comprises 12 coursework modules (including a Research Methodology module) and a project. There are ten compulsory Core Modules and you will have to choose two electives from those listed. Students from non-related fields and without relevant working experience will need to complete the pre-requisite modules.

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To meet the entry requirements for the course, you need to fulfil one of the requirements below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the Senate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.

English Language Requirement

  • IELTS : 6.0

Students from English speaking countries and those with qualifications taught in English (previous Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree taught in English) are exempted from English requirements. Applications for exemption must be accompanied by supporting documents.
