Course Overview
The Master of Science in International Business Communication focuses on business and corporate communication in multinational business environments. This programme is ideal for executives, managers and professionals who wish to become effective communication managers in today’s complex global environment. The programme allows students to study various aspects of business and corporate communication knowledge, theories, techniques, media technologies and skills. Career paths for MIBC graduates include corporate communications, marketing communications, management consulting, public relations and advertising in international business environments.
APU-DMU Dual Degree Programme
Students in this programme will have the option to opt in for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will receive two Degree Certificates and Transcripts upon graduation: one from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia and one from De Montfort University (DMU), UK.
Chartered Management Institute (CMI Accreditation)
Students can enrol for the APU-CMI Dual Accreditation by registering for a qualification through APU. Students taking the Master of Science in International Business Communication course will also have the option to opt in for a CMI L7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, which will be awarded subject to moderation by CMI.
This programme is specifically designed to provide:

Course Structure
This programme comprises of ten coursework modules (including a Research Methodology module) and a project. Students from non-related fields and without relevant working experience will need to complete the pre-requisite modules.

Entry Requirements
Academic Qualification
To meet the entry requirements for the course, you need to fulfil one of the requirements below:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the Senate.
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses.

English Language Requirement
- IELTS : 6.0
Students from English speaking countries and those with qualifications taught in English (previous Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree taught in English) are exempted from English requirements. Applications for exemption must be accompanied by supporting documents.
