Course Structure

The Doctor of Philosophy (Management) programme has two core modules, various fields of research, a viva voce in the final year and a thesis submission. Research thesis supervision will also be provided.

Fees are estimation on overall completion of the programme. In any cases where there are credit exemptions, offered rebates or approval of scholarship applications, there may be a reduction in the fees. Fees for international students may differ from those for local Malaysian students.

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must have completed at least one of the following:

  • A master’s degree in related fields as accepted by the HEP senate.
  • A master’s degree in non-related fields as accepted by the HEP senate, subject to having relevant working experience and rigorous internal assessment.
  • A master’s degree in non-related fields as accepted by the HEP senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing prerequisite courses.
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree recognised by the Malaysian government.

English Language Requirements

An applicant is required to possess a sufficient level of English language proficiency by obtaining one of the following:

  • A master’s degree conducted in English.
  • Credit 6 at MCE/SPM/GCE level.
  • A minimum MUET overall band score of 4.
  • A minimum TOEFL score of 550.
  • A minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.0.
  • An equivalent score to any of the above that was obtained at undergraduate level at a recognised university.

International students are subject to meet entry requirements that reflect similar qualifications and experience as stated above.
