Course Overview
The Master of International Business seeks to advance your understanding of the global business landscape, exploring topics like international trade and operational internationalisation.
Students will develop the ability to communicate and negotiate across cultures, and enhance their analytical skills of firm internationalisation, corporate strategy and more. You'll also learn to lead companies through the internationalisation process.

Flexible learning
Choose between full-time or part-time study. As a part-time student, you’ll have access to the same resources as your full-time peers.
Course benefits:
- No business background needed. If you have not previously studied business, the course includes preparatory units that will give you the business knowledge needed for the remainder of the course.
- Credit exemption. If you already have a degree in a relevant discipline, you can accelerate your study with a credit exemption from the preparatory units in the course. This means that you can graduate in 1.5 years on full-time study.
- Study tours. Over two weeks, you will visit selected countries in Asia and Europe and engage with established international businesses for a hands-on experience, observing how local politics, culture, institutions and environments impact businesses, and gaining insights into global business practices.
- Diverse student community. Our student community consists of different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. This will help prepare you for the global workplace.
This programme is designed to produce business professionals who are able to:

Entry Requirements
Academic Qualification
To apply for the Master of International Business, you must meet either one of the criteria below:
- An Australian bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60.
- An Australian bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, and a minimum of five years relevant employment subject to the School's approval*.
*Applicants applying on the basis of work experience are required to provide a detailed curriculum vitae, outlining their employment history and professional experience.
English Language Requirement
You can demonstrate your English language proficiency through one of the following:
- studying English at Year 12 or equivalent.
- studying at an institution where English is the language of instruction.
- English Proficiency Tests.
- Monash English Bridging course.
