Graduates can also further their education to become qualified professional accountants.

Graduates can proceed to Year 2 of TAR UMT's Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) or Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting & Finance on credit transfer. You can also apply for admission into relevant bachelor degree programmes at TAR UMT or other universities on credit transfer.

Students are eligible to receive exam exemptions from the following professional accounting bodies:

  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must meet either one of the criteria below:

  • SPM: Minimum three credits in the relevant subjects (including Mathematics) and a Pass in English.
  • O-Level: Minimum three Grade C in the relevant subjects (including Mathematics) and a Pass in English.
  • UEC: Minimum three Grade B in the relevant subjects (including one Mathematics subject) and a Grade C in English.
  • Relevant certificate that is accredited by MQA.
  • Relevant skilled/technical/vocational certificate that is accredited by MQA or recognised by the Malaysian government.
