Fees are estimation on overall completion of the programme. In any cases where there are credit exemptions, offered rebates or approval of scholarship applications, there may be a reduction in the fees. Fees for international students may differ from those for local Malaysian students.

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must have completed at least one of the following:

  • A Master's degree in a business field or relevant field as accepted by the university senate.
  • Other qualifications that are equivalent to a Master's degree that are accepted by the university senate.

Note: Candidates registered for Master's degree programmes may apply to convert their candidature to the doctoral degree programmes within one year after they register for Master's degree programmes subjected to:

  • having shown competency and capability in conducting research at the Doctoral degree level.
  • rigorous internal assessment by the HEP.
  • approval by the HEP Senate.

HEP may accept graduates of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) Bachelor Level 6 for direct entry into the MQF Level 8 Doctoral programme with the following conditions:

  • The student obtains a first class or equivalent,
  • The graduate gains a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.67 or equivalent from the academic or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes.
  • A neutral internal assessment by the HEP.
  • The individual receives approval from the HEP senate and gains acceptance into the MQF Level 8 Doctoral programme candidacy. Students should show appropriate progress during their candidature.

English Language Requirements

1) Local student

  • MUET Band 4.0, IELTS Band 6.0, CEFR Mid B2, TOEFL iBT 60 or equivalent.
  • Exemption of English language requirement if the medium of instruction during bachelor studies was in English.

2) International student

  • IELTS Band 6.0, CEFR Mid B2, TOEFL iBT 60 or equivalent.
  • Exemption of English language requirement if the medium of instruction during bachelor studies was in English.
