Academic Qualification (Normal Mode)

To meet the entry requirements for the course, you need to fulfil one of the requirements below:

  • A Masters in a related discipline.
  • Completed a Bachelor's degree with min. CGPA 3.67, and registered as a Masters candidate and passed the qualifying assessment.
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysian government or accepted by the Taylor's University Senate and
  • All of the conditions above require the applicant's research proposal to be approved.

English Language Requirements (Normal Mode)

IELTS 6.0 (May join IEN preparatory course and achieve the IELTS score).

Accelerated PhD Programme (Normal Mode)

Bachelor's degree candidates who are registered for Master's degree programmes may apply to convert to the Doctoral degree programme subject to the following conditions:

  • Within 1 year for full time and within 2 years for part-time candidates.
  • Having shown competency and capability in conducting research at a Doctoral level through rigorous internal evaluation.
  • Approval of the Taylor’s University Senate.

Bachelor Degrees From a Different Discipline (Normal Mode)

Students without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience are required to successfully complete a bridging module. Students without a qualification in the related field but with relevant working experience are required to fulfil one of the following conditions:

  • CGPA above 2.50 and must have at least one (1) year of relevant working experience.
  • CGPA 2.00 to 2.50 and must have at least five (5) years of relevant working experience.

Academic Qualifications (Publication Mode)

To meet the entry requirements for the course, you need to fulfil one of the requirements below:

  • Obtain a Master's degree in the field or related fields accepted by the HEP Senate.
  • Obtain other qualifications equivalent to a Master's degree recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

Candidates without related qualifications in the field or working experience in the relevant field must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the HEP.
