Course Overview

This programme combines finance fundamentals with accounting subjects, providing students with greater career flexibility in the evolving finance industry.

Professional accreditation
UCSI has established a partnership with ACCA's Accelerated Programme (AAP). Students are eligible for exemptions in nine AAP foundation papers and they can begin taking ACCA exams in their third year of degree study.

The course is also accredited by other globally recognised accounting and finance bodies like the Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA).

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must meet one of the criteria below:

  • ​UCSI Foundation year: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, and a credit in mathematics at SPM level.
  • STPM: Pass with minimum C+ grades (CGPA 2.33) in any two subjects, and a credit in mathematics at SPM level. ​
  • A-Level: Minimum 2 D grades.​
  • UEC: Minimum 5 credits (B6) including mathematics and a pass in English.
  • ​National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, and a credit in mathematics at SPM level.
  • ​International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects.
  • Canadian Pre-U: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects.
  • AUSMAT/HSC/ SACE/TEE/WACE: ATAR score of 60% OR minimum 60% average in 5 subjects.
  • Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%.
  • Diploma (business-related): Minimum CGPA of 2.50.
  • Other equivalent qualifications: To be reviewed by the faculty on a case-to-case basis.

An applicant is required to possess a sufficient level of English language proficiency by obtaining one of the following:
