Course Overview

During UOW Malaysia's Master of Business programme, students are placed into business simulated environments at the Entrepreneurialism Centre, which is guided by certified EuroPEN-PEN International trainers and experienced Malaysia Business Angel Network (MBAN) investors. The simulated setup enables students to use various web-based applications including the Simplified Business System (SBS) trading platform, human resources, administration and marketing platforms, teaching them various methods in facing the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) world.

Contemporary research-focused curriculum
Students will receive extensive training in inventive problem solving, project management, scholarship and research funding application, English writing, communication skills as well as information research and retrieval. The Master of Business programme at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang George Town and Batu Kawan also includes a series of research seminars, workshops and talks to further enhance students' research skills.

Fees are estimation on overall completion of the programme. In any cases where there are credit exemptions, offered rebates or approval of scholarship applications, there may be a reduction in the fees. Fees for international students may differ from those for local Malaysian students.

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must meet either one of the criteria below:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or an equivalent qualification.
  • A bachelor’s degree with a CGPA between 2.50 and 2.74, subject to institutional approval.
  • Candidates with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.49, and a minimum of five years' relevant working experience, subject to institutional approval.

English Language Requirements

An applicant is required to possess a sufficient level of English language proficiency by obtaining one of the following:

  • Local student: a minimum MUET overall band score of 5.
  • International student: a minimum band score of 6.0 in IELTS, 60 (IBT) or 488 (PBT) in TOEFL, a score of 169 in Cambridge English or a score of in the PTE Academic.

If the English language requirements are not fulfilled, additional English module(s) may be taken at UOW Malaysia.
