Course Structure

The Master of Philosophy programme is available at UTAR Sungai Long Campus (R2/340/7/0800)05/26 (A10031) in Selangor and UTAR Kampar Campus (R2/340/7/0395)05/26 (A10012) in Perak. The programme consists of two compulsory modules and a dissertation.

Fees are estimation on overall completion of the programme. In any cases where there are credit exemptions, offered rebates or approval of scholarship applications, there may be a reduction in the fees. Fees for international students may differ from those for local Malaysian students.

Entry Requirements

Academic Qualification

To apply for this course, you must meet either one of the criteria below:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in the field or related fields with CGPA of 2.75 and above or equivalent as approved by the Senate.
  2. A Bachelor’s Degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with CGPA of 2.50 and above but less than CGPA of 2.75, subject to rigorous internal assessment.
  3. A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 but less than CGPA of 2.50 and show evidence of at least five (5) years of relevant working or research experience can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.
  4. Candidates without a Bachelor’s degree in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by UTAR and meet the minimum CGPA set out in (1) to (3).

English Language Requirement

  • TOEFL: 600/ TOEFL iBT Score: 78
  • MUET Band 4
