Business programme admission requirements
To qualify for Monash University Malaysia courses, you’ll have to meet one of the following in the criteria list below.
Applicants must obtain a certain grade, score or CGPA in their academic results and English language evaluation to gain admission. Refer to your chosen course at the top of this page for specific entry requirements.
Bachelor’s degrees
- Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY); OR
- STPM; OR
- A-Level; OR

Postgraduate diploma courses
- An Australian undergraduate degree in a business field relevant to your course; OR

- Click the Apply Now button.
- Use your email to register on the university's online application page.
- An online application form will appear.
- Fill in your details.
- Select your campus location, course and intake date.
- Fill in details about your academic qualifications, English proficiency level and work experience (if necessary).
- Submit soft copies of your passport, CV and any relevant documents.
- Pay your processing fee via credit card or other online methods.
- Successful applicants will receive their letter of offer and fee payment details via email.
Application and registration fees
If you are applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course, there's a one-time application charge of RM100 and a RM200 registration fee.
Monash University Malaysia scholarships and financial aid
The university provides scholarships and bursaries to eligible students. Besides that, here are additional options to fund your studies:

Monash High Achiever Award
Academically successful Malaysian and international bachelor’s degree students can apply for this scholarship. Chosen candidates will receive a RM5,000 tuition fee waiver every semester.
Outstanding Achiever Award (UEC)
This scholarship accepts applications from high-achieving Malaysian and international UEC graduates. Applicants must be full-time bachelor’s degree students.
Recipients will be awarded a RM15,000 tuition fee waiver for each year of study.
Leadership Award (UEC)
UEC graduates from Malaysia and abroad pursuing a bachelor's degree can apply for this scholarship. Applicants must attain at least an average score of 85 for extra-curricular activities during their SM3 year and a recommendation letter from their school principal, teacher or counsellor.
Selected candidates will receive a tuition fee waiver of RM8,000 for every year of study.
Graduate Research Pathway Scholarship
This scholarship welcomes applications from academically excellent students pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Commerce.
Successful applicants will receive a full or partial tuition fee waiver. The recipient’s scholarship amount is determined by the university.
Monash Equity Scholarship
The scholarship is meant for underprivileged Malaysian citizens and permanent residents studying a full-time bachelor’s degree. There are two types of financial support for this scholarship.
Certain recipients will be awarded a full tuition fee waiver, a monthly stipend of RM2000 and a one-off allowance to purchase a laptop.
Meanwhile, other successful applicants will receive a tuition fee waiver that offsets between 50-100 per cent of their costs and a one-off allowance to purchase a laptop.
The university will determine the type of scholarship that recipients receive.
Ng Kong Lin Family Intercampus Scholarship
Academically outstanding Malaysian citizens enrolled in a full-time course are eligible for this scholarship. Chosen applicants will receive:
A one-semester stay at one of Monash University’s on-campus residences in Australia
A stipend worth AUD$8500 for their living expenses, flight tickets, insurance and other miscellaneous costs
Monash Sports Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to Malaysian national athletes enrolled in a bachelor’s degree course*. Successful candidates will receive a tuition fee waiver of RM5,000 every semester.
*Honours degree students are not eligible for this scholarship.
Alumni bursary
Monash alumni who graduated with a bachelor’s degree can apply for a 10 per cent tuition fee waiver for the full-time Master of International Business. The bursary is available to Malaysian and international candidates.
Master of Digital Business bursary
Malaysian and international candidates pursuing a full-time Master of Digital Business can apply for this bursary. The university will grant a 10 per cent reduction in tuition fees to each selected applicant.
